Sadie walking, birthdays, anniversaries, and more!

Ok, so this is really old, but I was thinking of sending these videos to my family via e-mail and then figured, why don't I add to to my blog instead. It has been quite a while since posting, and although this will be a short post, it will at least document Sadie's walking.

Sadie just learning to walk:

Sadie walking!!

Sadie in her sleep sack--we got such a kick out of this. This is the first time we've put her in a sleep sack since she was tiny tiny and I told Scott she'll hate it since she won't be able to walk around. Well, he put it on her anyways to try it out :)

The other bit of news that is going on right now is that we are planning to close on our house on Wed, the 26th! I'm really hoping it goes through this time, as we were delayed in closing due to repairs the lender was requiring. It has been a headache of a process, but we are almost done!!! Yay!!

Oh, and Blake turned 3 and Sadie turned 1 in my absence on blogger! We celebrated at a college friend's house:

Look at these girls!!

The "old" kids (poor Blake is outnumbered by girls...and since this picture, Missy just had another girl!!)
 The Mom's and their babies:

SueLynn and Elie, Me, Blake & Sadie, Maggie and Hailey, and Missy and Adie & Olivya
 The Dad's and their babies:

Aaron & Elie, Scott Sadie & Blake, Scott and Hailey, and Michael, Adie & Olivya
And, my monthly birthday pictures:

My two calm kiddos who just had a birthday!

Sadie Jane is 1!!!

My beautiful girly who just couldn't sit still for very long...

So, they started jumping on the couch and having so much fun :)

"I three now" is how Blake puts it :)

Jumping with her brother and just loving it.

These kids.

Ah, a great one, just can't see her age...

I asked Blake to help me make her laugh and he's pretending to bite her/rub his head in her tummy--effective :)
Oh, and Scott and I just had an anniversary too! 8 years!! He has kept up with giving me gifts according to the traditional anniversary material for each year of marriage and this year was brass. I got an "owl lovers sculpture." :) I just love that he does this and I intentionally avoid looking at the list of gifts by year so that I am surprised.

We decided to check out what Iowa has to offer for our trip, for which my sister-in-law Priscilla graciously offered to watch our kids for. We went to Maquoketa, IA where they have some caves in their state park. I just love getting away with my husband :)

Ready for our hikes

Cave entrance below--we didn't bring spelunking clothes b/c we hadn't packed any clothes we were willing to get too dirty. So, we didn't do as much crawling as we might otherwise.

Brr, was a little chilly down here compared to the warmth above ground.

This was the only cave with a sidewalk

I got this shirt at a garage sale since I needed more clothes than I packed (our stuff is still in storage). I thought it was just plain tie-dye until these pictures when I noticed I was sporting a peace sign. True story. :) I used to look in the mirror more...

Hmmm, did I say this was going to be a quick post...?? whoops :) Halloween post to follow, even though that should technically be with the birthday post since Blake turned 3 on Halloween, but I'm thinking there are too many pictures here already.
